What is UATL?
UATL is a product created by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that focuses on news, trends, and events shaping Black culture in Atlanta. It covers a wide range of topics including local news, cultural events, and significant developments within the Black community in Atlanta.
What does the U stand for in UATL?
We say it’s one letter with many expressions. The U represents diversity of voices and experiences in Black Atlanta: uplifting, unstoppable, unconventional, ubiquitous, upfront, undefeated, upbeat, unbound, unwavering, universal, united…and, well, the list is unlimited.

UATL Supporters get access to a range of exclusive events and perks designed to celebrate and connect Atlanta’s Black community. We’ve hosted movie nights with filmmakers, actors and producers. We’ve had panel discussions with community leaders as part of the Culture Connect series. We’ve given away tickets to games and concerts. All AJC subscribers have unlimited access to read UATL and enjoy all perks. Create a free account linked to your AJC subscription by signing in with your AJC email address and password at UATL.com
Supporter benefits - setting up 4 extra account for UATL access
Log in at UATL.com/myaccount then navigate to the "Subscription Manager" tab. At the right-hand side of your subscription listing select "Manage" and then "Manage shared accounts". Enter the email address for the extra account and tap on "Save". The additional user will then receive an email to complete registration.
