There are several ways to save and share content (articles, comics, puzzles) from the AJC ePaper, depending on which version you’re using and your device. In previous versions of the ePaper, users could right-click on images (such as comics) to copy or save them. This feature is not currently available.
The available options and step-by-step instructions are outlined below:
1. Use a Snipping Tool (editions.ajc.com)
If you are viewing the ePaper on https://editions.ajc.com, the clipping tool is not available. Instead, you can use your device’s built-in screen capture tools to save content.
On Desktop
Windows
- Press Windows + Shift + S (or Print Screen, depending on your settings) to open the snipping tool.
Note: You can also open the Snipping Tool app directly and click New to start a capture.
- Select the area you want to capture. The image is copied to your clipboard.
- Paste it using Ctrl + V into an application (such as email, Word, or Paint) to save or share.
Mac
- Press Command + Shift + 4 to select the area you want to capture.
- The image is automatically saved to your desktop, where you can open and share it.
2. Take a Screenshot (Mobile & Tablet)
If you’re using the ePaper on a phone or tablet, you can take a screenshot to capture what’s on your screen. Follow the steps below based on your device to save or share content as needed.
Steps:
1.Open the ePaper app or browser.
2. Navigate to the content you want.
3. Take a screenshot using your device buttons:
- iPhone/iPad: Side button + Volume Up
- Android: Power + Volume Down
4. Once you’ve saved your screenshot, you can share it by selecting the share option on your device and send it via:
- Text message
- Social media
- Messaging apps
3. Share a Link to the Article or Page
You can share content directly using the ePaper’s built-in share feature (available on both desktop and in the app), or by copying the page URL from your browser on desktop.
Using the Built-In Share Feature (Desktop & App)
You can share individual articles, comics, or full pages using the share options:
1. Select (or click/tap) the article or comic you want to share.
2. Use the menu at the top of the screen and choose how you’d like to share (e.g., Facebook, X, or Email).
To share an entire page:
1. Select the share icon in the top-left corner of the page.
2. Choose your preferred share option from the menu – Facebook, X, email.
Note: The built-in share feature sends a link to the article, comic, or page. Anyone you share it with must have an active AJC subscription to view the content.
On Desktop (Copy Link from Browser)
You can also share a specific page by copying the URL:
1. Open the ePaper and navigate to the page you want to share.
2. Go to the address bar at the top of your browser.
3. Highlight the full URL (web address).
4. Copy the URL (right-click and select Copy or press Ctrl + C on Windows / Cmd + C on Mac).
5. Paste the link into an email, message, or document to share it with others.
Note: Anyone you share the link with must have an active AJC subscription to view the page.
